ABOUT THE JOB

Are you passionate about ensuring compliance with employment laws, optimizing HR systems, and driving data-driven decision-making? Nordic Semiconductor is seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy HR Compliance & Technology Specialist to join our HR team. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring regulatory compliance, enhancing HR processes, and leveraging technology to create an efficient and innovative HR environment.
As the HR Compliance & Technology Specialist, you will collaborate with HR Business Partners, legal teams, and other stakeholders locally in Norway and internationally to ensure governance, compliance, and process excellence. You will also support the implementation and optimization of HR systems and technologies, enabling Nordic Semiconductor to remain at the forefront of HR innovation.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in HR compliance, HRIS management, or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, labor regulations, and compliance requirements (local and international).
  • Hands-on experience with HR technology platforms (e.g., Workday, SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM) and HRIS implementation or optimization.
  • Proficiency in HR analytics and reporting, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Familiarity with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and best practices for data integrity.Fluency in English, both written and spoken;

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitor and interpret international, national, and local labor and employment regulations, proactively advising on compliance risks and necessary HR policy updates.
  • Assist with coordination and documentation for internal and external HR audits, ensuring timely resolution of findings.
  • Help draft, implement, and maintain HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks.
  • Collaborate with global HR, legal, and business partners to ensure organizational policies remain compliant and consistently applied.
  • Coordinate aspects of global mobility, including expatriate assignments, international transfers, immigration, and tax compliance.
  • Support the operation, maintenance, and enhancement of HR technology platforms (e.g., Workday, SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM).
  • Provide actionable insights to HR leadership and promote data-driven decision-making within HR.
