operations and culture.   The Opportunity Reporting to the Director of HR, you will be part of an HR Team who helps create a workplace where every team member feels valued and empowered.  You’ll gain made for you.   What You’ll Do:   Recruitment and Onboarding * Coordinate and support the full recruitment cycle including creating job descriptions and job postings, posting positions on internal and external sites, screening resumes, conducting initial phone screens, scheduling interviews, processing criminal checks, conducting reference checks, and creating Interview Guides. * Maintain applicant tracking system and recruitment metrics. * Support hiring manager throughout the selection process and ensure timely communication with all candidates. * Prepare offer letters, new hire paperwork and onboarding materials. * Facilitate new hire onboarding sessions and track new hire progress throughout the onboarding period to ensure a smooth transition for all incoming employees.   HR Administration and Support * Assist with the preparation of HR documents, reports, and records. * Maintain employee files and ensure compliance with internal policies and employment legislation. * Provide administrative support for performance reviews, employee relations initiatives, surveys, and training programs. * Maintain and update company policies, coordinating the distribution of new and/or revised policies, and ensuring employee acknowledgement.     Communications * Develop and deliver internal HR presentations including onboarding sessions, policy updates, training sessions, lunch and learns, etc.  * Plan, schedule and facilitate training and development seminars.  * Assist in creating communication materials and HR announcements.   Payroll and Benefit Administration  * Provide backup support for payroll processing, including data entry, adjustments, and timesheet verification. * Ensure accurate and timely submission of employee changes related to compensation and hours, attendance and hours worked. * Assist with benefit administration and support to employees. * Assist and support employees through disability claims.     Decision Making Capabilities:  * Able to manage competing priorities and create a work schedule that makes the best use of time and resources.    What You Bring:   Education and Experience Require:  * Post secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field. * 3-5 years experience of HR experience with a focus on recruitment and onboarding a must. * CPHR designation or working towards designation an asset.  * ADP Workforce Now experience an asset.   Skills and Capabilities * Demonstrates exceptional attention to detail across all HR functions. * Careful handling of sensitive and confidential information and strict adherence to confidentiality policies * Acts as a dependable and collaborate team player, contributing to a respectful, inclusive, and high performing HR team culture * Brings an upbeat, positive and can-do attitude to all HR tasks, helping create an encouraging and solution focused team environment. * Manages multiple responsibilities simultaneously and adjusts promptly to changing HR demands while maintaining accuracy and responsiveness. * Strong knowledge of HR best practices and relevant employment legislation. * Acts as a strong and positive ambassador for the Calgary Food Bank, representing organizational values with professionalism and positivity in all interactions. * Strong computing skills (Microsoft 365 tools including SharePoint, Excel, Word) with curiosity and knowledge to use software tools to improve processes and the employee experience.   * Ability to think outside of the box and recommend improvements to processes.   Working Conditions: * This part-time position will require 20 hours per week. * Working conditions are normal for an office environment and may require occasional visits to our other locations and warehouse.     Perks &
