A Day in the Life of a Human Resources Coordinator at RWC!
Be part of designing your community! From the bustling downtown core all the way to Northern British Columbia you will be involved with championing safety at all our construction sites. Our previous and current locations include Amazon HQ, YVR Airport, University of British Columbia, Parq Casino, New St. Paul’s Hospital and much more! We are looking for a Human Resources Coordinator with a “roll up the sleeves” attitude who will champion the People & Culture of the Company through a business acumen lens.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Human Resources Management or a related field
  • Minimum 1 years’ experience as a Human Resources Assistant or similar role
  • CPHR designation or working towards CPHR considered an asset
  • Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and regulations
  • High level of business acumen
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Effective communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, handle sensitive information with discretion, work autonomously and be a self-starter
Responsibilities
  • Champion full-cycle recruitment of multiple roles while continuously improving the interviewing experience
  • Support leaders and supervisors with all key aspects of the employee lifecycle including employee relations and performance management
  • Harness and continuously improve the employee onboarding experience of new hires during their first 30, 60 and 90 days.
  • Participate in succession planning and support organizational development
  • Maintain and administer RWC’s employee benefits, including changes, inquiries, enrolments, terminations, etc.
  • Continuously assess the employee culture and industry perks to achieve BC’s Top Choice Employer status
  • Drive diversity, wellness, people analytics, and employee engagement initiatives
  • Promote a positive work culture within across multiple job families including the office and jobsites
  • Oversee employee offboarding by conducting exit interviews and identifying areas for improvement
  • Participate in and evaluate compensation-related matters, including salary benchmarking/recommendations, job evaluations, in-range salary adjustments, and/or promotions.
  • Facilitate employee training through the RWC Training academy. Administer grant and wage subsidy programs
  • Maintain the HRIS system, including tracking employee files, certifications, training and attendance data
  • Champion the Wellness and Mental Wellness programs
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of HR trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law
  • Work alongside the Human Resources department to ensure strategic alignment across all departments and job families
  • Maintain and organize various programs and events including the RWC values recognition program
  • Prepare and present Human Resources metrics and analytics
  • Manage the purchases and tracking of all IT related assets (computers, iPads)
  • Other ad-hoc duties as required.
