Description

The HR Data and Benefits Lead (HDB Lead) oversees the administration and management of employee data processing, employee benefits management, timecard maintenance, and data integration. This role is responsible for the day-to-day administration of benefits including Health & Welfare, Retirement, and Time Away from Work as well as the processing of employee data changes and timekeeping administration.
This is a lead position responsible for the supervision of HRIS Specialists, providing system support, analysis of data, communication, and coordination with End Users and key stakeholders.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field.
  • Two (2) years of experience in processing employee data records in human resource information systems (HRIS) for Employee Data, Pension, Benefits, Payroll, or Time and Attendance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two (2) years of experience specifically related to benefits, preparing specialized reports including 5500 reporting, EEO-1 reporting, and other governmental reporting.
  • Two (2) or more years of supervisory experience

Responsibilities
  • Provides direction, expertise, and mentoring for HRIS Specialists in the areas of employee data management, benefits management, and timecard management.
  • Manages daily activities including timecard updates, employee data processing, and benefit life change events.
  • Conducts data integrity audits and ensures compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment. Ensures HR data meets regulatory standards.
  • Recommends innovative approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
  • Creates and analyzes ad hoc reports, data feeds, interface files, dashboards, and other analytical tools to support the management and the organization.
  • Administers employee benefit programs, such as medical, dental, vision, life, STD/LD, 403(b), flexible spending accounts, and supplemental group insurances.
  • Coordinates the employee Open Enrollment period and Benefit Fairs.
  • Oversees the processing of all fingerprints, employee badges, and other back-end credentials.
  • Acts as the functional point of contact for benefits, employee data, and timecards, as the subject matter expert with users, ensuring data integrity and identifying overall needs.
  • Oversees the creation and maintenance of training materials, user procedures, and documentation (test plans, design documents, etc.) for the end users.
  • Maintains regular and predictable attendance.
