  Nations Roof is looking to hire a Human Resources Assistant that has experience working within an HR professional office setting.  Location: Remote (Current residency in Florida preferred) WHY NATIONS ROOF Nations Roof is one of the largest commercial roofing contractors in the U.S., delivering a full range of commercial roofing services including new construction, re-roofing, exterior renovations, and ongoing roof maintenance and repairs. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to support daily HR operations and enhance the candidate and employee experience. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative skills who is looking to begin or grow a career in Human Resources. POSITION SUMMARY Under the direct supervision of the Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources Assistant supports the day-to-day operations of the HR department. This role focuses on pre-hire processing, new hire coordination, document control, data entry, and providing general HR administrative support. This position requires strong accuracy, professionalism, confidentiality, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. HR OPERATIONS & DATA ENTRY * Enter employee data in ADP Workforce Now (rate and status changes, position updates, terminations, access requests, document uploads, etc.). * Upload and maintain employee files in ADP, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. * Assist with benefits-related administration as directed by the HR Manager. * Coordinate with the Onboarding Specialist to ensure timely and smooth new hire processing. EMPLOYEE & CANDIDATE SUPPORT * Answer phones, employee engagement emails, and verification of employment (VOE) inquiries. * Provide prompt, courteous support to employees and applicants. * Assist with new hire paperwork and communication to ensure a positive onboarding experience. ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT * Perform administrative tasks within Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and applicant tracking systems (ATS). * Assist payroll specialists with documentation and file support as needed. * Receive, organize, and maintain HR documents and department files. * Troubleshoot issues and collaborate with HR team members to identify solutions. * Complete ad hoc projects and other duties as assigned. SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Strong organizational and time-management abilities. * Ability to work independently with accuracy and a sense of urgency. * Intermediate computer proficiency (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint). * Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE * No HR experience required. * 2–4 years of office/administrative experience with strong data entry skills, OR * Recent college graduate who has completed HR-related coursework will be considered in lieu of experience. * High School Diploma or equivalent required. * Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required. * Any equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
