We’re looking for a detail-driven, people-focused HR Director & Payroll Coordinator to oversee our facility’s human resources and payroll operations. In this role, you’ll manage everything from employee recruitment and retention to payroll processing and benefits coordination. QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge of HR programs/regulations (FMLA, Unemployment, etc.)
  • 2 years of HR experience, preferably in healthcare
  • Proficient with HRIS, Time & Attendance, and Payroll systems
  • Skilled in recruitment, employee relations, and corrective action processes
  • High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
  • HR certification a plus
  • Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
  • Flexibility to work outside standard hours, including some weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee full-cycle recruitment (in partnership with our clinical recruiting team) and coordinate onboarding
  • Attend local career fairs and represent the facility as an employer of choice
  • Maintain complete and accurate HR files, including licenses, references, and required documentation
  • Review, edit, and approve timecards; ensure schedules and timesheets are accurate and timely
  • Partner with payroll and benefits teams to process payroll and promote employee benefit enrollment
  • Track FMLA/LOA requests and approvals
  • Manage unemployment claims and workers’ compensation in collaboration with our TPA
  • Support employee relations—coach managers, resolve concerns, and ensure fair and consistent policy application
  • Maintain confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and employment laws
  • Lead employee engagement and recognition programs
  • Monitor performance evaluations, license tracking, physicals, and vaccines via HR Tracker
  • Plan and implement HR policies, programs, and goals in alignment with facility objectives
