The HR Director for UK&I is responsible for leading the HR function in the UK and Ireland, providing HR partnership and leadership to multiple businesses and functions located in the region. This role is responsible for ensuring the delivery of strategic HR initiatives and providing necessary support to the business in all talent matters. This role leads a team of experienced HR Business Partners (across manufacturing and non-manufacturing sites) as well as HR Services/ Process Excellence team for the region, delivering a best-in-class employer experience to our associates. While this is an interim role for a period of 15 months as a maternity cover of the current leader, Cytiva and Danaher offer many career and growth opportunities.
This position reports to the Senior Director, Human Resources – Northern, Southern & Eastern Europe and is part of the Cytiva’s EMEA HR Leadership. This role is located in Little Chalfont, UK or Portsmouth, UK and will be an on-site role.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and support the HR team across UK & Ireland, including a Process Excellence Team and HR Business Partners – across 4 manufacturing sites, 2 R&D sites, 1 head-office and remote commercial/ service associates.
  • Develop and implement HR priorities for the countries, ensuring alignment with the business priorities.
  • Coach and support the team through use of Daily Management, Problem-Solving approach and creation of standard work as they work through priorities and implement relevant HR policies, tools and processes.
  • Coach the team and people leaders on employee relations issues, providing guidance and support as necessary ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations.
  • Enable the team to provide a superior associate experience and execution of Cytiva and Danaher programs, including but not limited to performance management, talent & leadership development, inclusion & engagement, and annual compensation planning.
  • Identify engagement trends, partner with relevant business HR teams to develop and implement engagement strategies across the region.
  • Collaborating extensively with broader HR team across Cytiva and Danaher (business HR teams as well as Centers of Excellence) to support talent in the region while also sharing best practices and driving continuous improvement.
  • Leading and contributing to regional and global projects as we deliver on Cytiva’s talent priorities.
  • Act a consultant and advisor on Diversity, Equity & Inclusion to further learning and capability. Lead with cultural sensitivity, promoting inclusivity, ensuring that all associates from all backgrounds feel valued and respected for their contribution to the organisation
