THE SERVICE & TEAM:

This is an exciting opportunity to join Cornwall Council on an interim basis to lead a range of complex HR services whilst also seeking out opportunities to drive improved service to internal and external stakeholders and our customers of HR related services. This role is a member of the organisation’s extended leadership team and a member of the People and Change Senior Management Team which oversees the Council’s HR, Health, Safety and Wellbeing Services in addition to the Council’s wider Transformation portfolio through its strategic and critical projects.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

We are seeking someone who combines a strong HR background with the ability to lead and influence at all levels, be innovative in approach and with outstanding leadership skills.

Responsibilities

THE ROLE:

In this role, your primary objectives will be to support the Council in maximising its workforce capability and capacity by leading the design and delivery of initiatives to improve HR processes, systems and policies, to oversee performance metrics, identify opportunities for innovation and building capability organisationally.

  • Extensive HR expertise , supported by CIPD qualification or equivalent experience, with the credibility to lead diverse HR functions. This includes strong knowledge of employment law, policy, and the ability to enhance analytical and data insight capability within HR.
