Trotman Auto Group is seeking a Human Resources Generalist for a 13-month maternity leave contract. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about employee experience, compliance, and organizational development.
Position: Human Resources Generalist (Maternity Leave Contract)
Location: Surrey, BC (on-site)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 40 hours/week
Salary: $60,000 – $70,000 annually
Contract Duration: 13 months

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field, or working towards CHRP
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in an HR Administrator or Generalist role
  • Strong knowledge of employment standards and human rights legislation
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
  • Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS platforms
  • CPHR designation is an asset
  • Experience in a high-volume, multi-location environment is preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in change management and strategic HR initiatives

Responsibilities
  • Administer HR programs including onboarding, compensation, performance management, and employee relations
  • Maintain HRIS and employee records with accuracy and confidentiality
  • Support managers and employees with HR documentation and inquiries
  • Ensure compliance with Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) standards
  • Update and maintain HR policies and procedures
  • Conduct research and analysis on compensation trends
  • Assist with HR projects and process improvements
  • Update and manage the HR tracker and key HR metrics
  • Lead and support various strategic HR projects
  • Spearhead new initiatives and process improvements across the organization
  • Apply change management principles to support organizational transitions
  • Stay current on employment legislation and HR best practices
  • Promote a positive workplace culture through effective HR support
