Description The Human Resources Generalist plays a key role in supporting daily HR operations at Schnellecke Logistics Alabama by ensuring a safe, compliant, and employee-focused workplace. This position partners closely with employees, supervisors, and management to provide guidance on HR policies, employee relations, and performance management while upholding Schnellecke’s values, culture, and operational standards. This is a 1st shift position, working approximately 5:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. While this schedule is consistent, some flexibility may be required based on business needs, employee relations matters, or operational demands. The HR Generalist is responsible for a broad range of human resources functions, including onboarding and orientation, HR system administration, attendance and reporting support, employee data management, and the processing of employee status changes. This role serves as an important liaison between local HR, corporate HR, payroll, and operations, ensuring accurate communication, consistent application of policies, and timely resolution of employee concerns across shifts. In this role, the HR Generalist will provide coaching and counseling to employees and leaders, assist with disciplinary processes, and help promote fair and respectful treatment throughout the organization. The position also supports leadership development and training initiatives and contributes to continuous improvement of HR processes. A strong focus on confidentiality, ethical practices, and employment law compliance is essential for success in this role. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field or equivalent work experience Minimum 2 years of experience in an HR Generalist or similar role Working knowledge of employment law and HR compliance Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion Demonstrated ethical judgment and employee-focused mindset Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
