AJR Enterprises, a UFP Technologies company, is a leader in developing and manufacturing single use safe patient handling systems; specializing in ‘cut and sew’ manufacturing services and advanced fabric technologies.
Location: This position will be on-site full-time in St. Charles, IL.
HR Generalist Summary:
The purpose of this position is to collaborate with the HR manager and AJR leadership to provide a variety of HR solutions including but not limited to talent acquisition, onboarding, payroll/compensation, performance management, safety, employee relations, records management, retention, rewards and recognition programs.

HR Generalist Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensures facilities’ compliance with company policies, procedures, and practices as well as federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Process payroll using Paycor software, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to the day-to-day management of employees, reducing risks and ensuring legal compliance.
  • Executes HR projects, tracks key metrics and manages a variety of programs. Including but not limited to all company benefit programs, worker’s compensation, FMLA, plant safety, payroll administration, etc.
  • Leads employee relations initiative to foster engagement and retention.
  • Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing data and trends.
  • Enhances department and organization effectiveness by working with employees at all levels of to accomplish goals, sets high standards of behavior for integrity, innovation and leadership.

HR Generalist Qualification Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resources, Business or other related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience working in Human Resources field in a manufacturing environment required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills a must.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects, multi-task and prioritize workload.
  • Ability to take direction and work independently, as needed.
  • Possesses a high level of personal integrity and ability to work with highly confidential information is a must.
  • Ability to take initiative, with a demonstrated passion and commitment for getting the job done right the first time, to meet stakeholder expectations.
  • Excellent computer skills, including the use of Microsoft Office, are required. Knowledge of Paycor payroll and time /attendance helpful.
  • Effective problem solving skills with an eye towards proactive solutions.
  • Bi-lingual Spanish required.
