JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Human Resources Generalist to join our team, in a SME of around 140 people. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting various HR functions, ensuring effective communication and collaboration across departments. This position requires a strong understanding of HR practices, employment law, excellent communication skills, and ability to deal with sensitive issues with discretion.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 2+ years of experience in a similar HR role (generalist, coordinator, officer level or advisor).
  • CIPD level 3 or 5 (or working towards it).
  • Good knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
  • Confident using and adapting to HRIS systems.
  • Basic knowledge of payroll processes and willingness to learn more.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Highly organised with attention to details and proactive mindset.
    This is an office-based role, 8:30 to 17:00 (40 hours per week).

Responsibilities
  • Manage the recruitment process, including job postings, screening candidates, coordinating interviews and providing feedback.
  • Maintain employee records and ensure data accuracy through diligent data entry in HRIS system, also for payroll purpose.
  • Manage the full employee life-cycle, from onboarding to offboarding processes, including (but not limited) contract preparation, inductions, right-to-work checks, change of terms, exit interviews, etc.
  • Monitor absences and completion of timesheets.
  • Support and advise line managers in employee relations with consistency and in a timely manner, from investigation to disciplinaries, grievances, probation reviews, performance and attendance management, etc.
  • Collaborate with management to implement, maintain and update HR policies and procedures that align with organisational goals.
  • Conduct training sessions on HR-related topics as needed to promote compliance and best practices.
  • Help coordinate engagement initiatives, wellbeing programs and company-wide communications.
  • Propose and develop HR projects and activities.
