Description

We are seeking a proactive HR Advisor to play a pivotal role in ensuring a seamless employee experience and the smooth execution of our HR processes, while also supporting employees and managers across multiple regions. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working across multiple areas of HR, from onboarding and culture to process improvement and compliance.
Key Responsibilities

HR Administration & Operations:

  • Develop and streamline HR administrative processes to support a rapidly growing workforce.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, contracts, and HRIS data.
  • Ensure compliance with local employment laws and regulations.
  • Handle day-to-day HR administrative duties such as updating internal databases, preparing reports, tracking leave requests, and coordinating training sessions.
  • Work closely with the outsourced payroll provider and other outsourced benefit provider to process payroll data and administer employee benefits for staff in Australia

Employee Support & Engagement:

  • Act as the first point of contact for employees in Australia, addressing HR inquiries and providing guidance.
  • Manage global onboarding and induction programs to ensure a smooth transition for new hires, including issuing employment documentation and setting employees up on HR systems.
  • Support the implementation of the performance and development cycle by updating the performance management system and assist with career development initiatives.
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives, including culture-building and team events
  • Provide guidance on employee relations matters, escalating complex cases to the Senior HR Business Partner when necessary

Compliance & Policy Implementation

  • Ensure the company remains compliant with Australian labour laws, proactively advising leadership on regulatory changes.
  • Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures, ensuring they align with both global and local requirements.
  • Support visa and immigration processes for international hires, ensuring smooth sponsorship and compliance.

Collaboration & Projects

  • Work closely with the People & Culture team to align HR initiatives and best practices.
  • Assist in implementing HR projects that align with business objectives, such as diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I), wellbeing and learning and development.
  • Support in the development and maintenance of reporting frameworks for key workforce analytics to provide insights for leadership decision-making.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years of HR experience in an international company, with exposure to both HR administration and advisory responsibilities
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Experience working in a global or matrixed organisation or fast-growing startup / scale-up environment is desirable
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices and Australian employment legislation
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a proactive and problem-solving mindset
  • Experience with HRIS systems, payroll coordination, and Microsoft Office Suite.
