Description About the Role General Carbide is seeking a hands-on, experienced Human Resources Generalist to support recruiting, employee relations, and workforce initiatives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is a key member of a small HR team and will partner closely with the Director of Human Resources to execute core HR functions while maintaining strong alignment with organizational priorities. The ideal candidate is a team-oriented, accountable professional who can balance independent work with collaboration, demonstrate sound judgment, and contribute to a consistent and professional HR presence across the organization. Recruiting & Talent Acquisition (Approximately 50%) Lead full-cycle recruiting efforts including sourcing, screening, and scheduling interviews Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and drive timely hiring decisions Maintain an active candidate pipeline and ensure a positive candidate experience Track, manage, and report recruiting activity and progress to ensure timely results Employee Relations & HR Support Serve as a resource to employees and supervisors on HR policies and procedures Support employee relations matters through fact-gathering and issue resolution, escalating when appropriate Promote a professional, respectful, and consistent employee experience Demonstrate sound judgment and professionalism in employee interactions Workforce Development & Community Engagement Support partnerships with schools, technical programs, and workforce organizations Coordinate career fairs, internships, and workforce development initiatives Ensure external communications and program execution align with HR leadership direction Experience with grants or workforce funding programs is a plus HR Operations Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes Support HRIS data accuracy and reporting Provide backup support for payroll and benefits administration as needed Assist with HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives Maintain clear visibility of work progress and communicate priorities effectively within the HR team Requirements Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business, or related field preferred Approximately 5–10 years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment Candidates must be able to describe measurable recruiting outcomes in prior roles. Experience in recruiting and employee relations required Exposure to payroll and benefits administration strongly preferred SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred
