If you care about those things, this company is for you. About the role: We are looking for a proactive and hands-on HR Generalist to support our operations in Germany. This role will be responsible for managing day-to-day HR activities, ensuring compliance with German labor law, and supporting managers and employees across the full employee lifecycle. The ideal candidate combines strong operational HR knowledge with a pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset. Key Responsibilities 1. Employee Lifecycle Management Manage onboarding and offboarding processes Prepare employment contracts, amendments, and reference letters Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation Support probation reviews and performance management processes 2. Labor Law & Compliance (Germany) Ensure compliance with German labor law (Arbeitsrecht) and internal policies Advise managers on disciplinary processes, warnings (Abmahnungen), and terminations Handle sick leave cases, vacation tracking, and statutory leave administration 3. Payroll & Administration Prepare and validate payroll data in collaboration with external payroll providers Manage communication regarding social security, health insurance, and authorities Oversee time tracking and absence management 4. Recruitment & Employer Branding Support recruitment processes (job postings, screening, interviews coordination) Draft job descriptions and employment offers Contribute to employer branding initiatives 5. Employee Relations & Advisory Act as a trusted point of contact for employees and managers Provide guidance on HR policies and internal procedures Support conflict resolution and workplace investigations where needed 6. HR Projects & Reporting Support implementation of HR initiatives and process improvements with the support of the Director, People & Culture Contribute to workforce planning and cost control initiatives Profile & Qualifications Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field 0 to 3 years of experience in HR, preferably in Germany Knowledge of German labor law Experience working with payroll providers Structured, detail-oriented, and solution-focused Strong communication skills in German and English Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities What We Offer International and dynamic working environment High level of autonomy and responsibility Opportunity to shape HR processes and structures
