Position Overview The HR Generalist will provide comprehensive support across multiple areas of Human Resources, including payroll, benefits, compliance, employee relations, and HR systems administration. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who is comfortable handling day-to-day operations while also assisting with special projects and organizational initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Payroll & Compliance Administer and process bi-weekly payroll accurately and timely. Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Manage state tax account setup and maintenance. Ensure compliance with ACA reporting and other regulatory requirements. Partner with Finance to reconcile payroll and resolve discrepancies. Benefits & Leaves Lead benefits administration including open enrollment, new hire enrollments, and ongoing maintenance. Serve as the primary contact for employee benefits inquiries and issue resolution. Manage employee leaves of absence (LOAs), including coordination with EDD and other agencies. Support benefits compliance and reporting requirements. HR Systems & Reporting Maintain and optimize BambooHR; train employees and managers on system use. Generate and analyze HR reports for Accounting and other departments. Support internal and external audits by maintaining accurate HR records. Employee Relations & Engagement Provide day-to-day support for employee relations and conflict resolution. Assist in planning and executing company-wide meetings, events, and engagement initiatives. Support updates to the employee handbook and HR policies. General HR & Administration Provide HR support to leadership and employees across departments. Contribute to cross-functional projects and HR initiatives. Serve as backup for front desk operations as needed. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (preferred). 3–5 years of progressive HR experience, with direct experience in payroll and benefits administration. Strong knowledge of ACA reporting, payroll systems, and multi-state compliance. Experience with HRIS platforms; BambooHR experience strongly preferred. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
