HR GENERALIST

At JBS Equipment, we are dedicated to manufacturing top-of-the-line agricultural equipment used in various locations around the globe. As a rapidly growing company based in Mission, BC, we pride ourselves on our commitment to quality and innovation.
We are looking for an experienced HR Generalist to join our growing team and help us attract, retain, and develop top talent.
As our HR Generalist, you will play a key role in supporting our people and ensuring smooth HR operations. From recruitment and onboarding to performance management and workplace safety, you’ll be a trusted partner to managers and employees across the company.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3+ years of HR Generalist experience, preferably in manufacturing, industrial, or trades-focused environments
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills
  • Solid understanding of Canadian employment standards, HR best practices, and full-cycle recruitment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • HR designation (CPHR) is an asset

Responsibilities
  • Lead full-cycle recruitment for all positions, with a focus on trades and manufacturing roles
  • Manage onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring compliance with BC Employment Standards
  • Coordinate training and development programs, track training records, and submit apprenticeship documentation
  • Support managers with performance reviews, coaching, and disciplinary processes
  • Assist with employee relations, conflict resolution, and investigations
  • Maintain organized HR documentation and ensure adherence to policies and best practices
  • Assist in managing injury claims, return-to-work plans, and safety-related reporting
  • Contribute to building a positive workplace culture and promoting safety initiatives
