Position Summary: The Human Resources Generalist carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, performance review management, on-boarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, affirmative action and employment law compliance. The HR Generalist works onsite at our corporate headquarters and manufacturing facility in Eugene, Oregon, typically Monday-Friday 7:30am-4pm with additional hours as needed due to business needs. Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities: Creates employee files, transfer to active/inactive and maintains employee files according to filing standards. Scans and files all HR documents. Administers and maintains employee handbook and policies Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems Monitors the performance evaluation program and revises as necessary Performs benefits administration to include open enrollment, orientations, claims resolution, change reporting and communicating benefit information to employees Develops and maintains affirmative action program; files EEO- I report annually; maintain other records, reports and logs to conform to EEO regulations Conducts recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt personnel, students and temporary employees Supports the administration of employee programs such as performance management, employee appreciation, open enrollment, tuition reimbursement, KRS logo apparel, wellness programs, safety, and other programs as assigned Supports the administration of corporate programs such as Glassdoor reviews, Oregon Business Top 100 surveys, training surveys, and other programs as assigned Writes and places job advertisements, monitors ad performance and budget Assists with administering Worker’s Compensation Claims Conducts new-employee onboarding and orientations Participates in administrative staff meetings and other HR or department specific meetings Attends seminars and workshops to stay up to date on state and federal rules and regulations to ensure compliance Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions and results of department in relation to established goals Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of the department and services performed Assists with internal investigations as needed Administrates FMLA , Paid Leave Oregon, and Short-Term Disability Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment Performs other related duties as required and assigned Supervise and back up Reception Requirements Education & Experience: Bachelor's Degree and or relevant experience in HR. 2 years of work experience in human resources High-volume, full-cycle recruiting experience preferred King Retail Solutions offers: Medical, Dental, and Vision plan 401(k) with company contribution Flexible Spending Account Short-Term Disability (company provided) Long-Term Disability Supplemental Life Insurance Profit Sharing Tuition Reimbursement Paid holidays and Paid Time Off
