Job Description A Human Resource Generalist must have a thorough understanding of the functions of the entire Human Resources Department. He or she will be responsible for assisting the Human Resource Manager with a variety of duties, including sourcing, interviewing, hiring, new hire onboarding, training, payroll and benefits administration, employee engagement, enforcing company policies, and special assignments as needed. He or she should be highly organized, detail-oriented, and most importantly, personable and approachable. This role involves maintaining manager and employee confidence by keeping human resources information confidential. AREA OF RESPONSIBILITIES YourMembership PH Cebu office in general. Human Resources Department area in particular. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Sources, recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; helps in collaborating with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for job openings. Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications. Continually works with the department to streamline the hiring process and improve internal policies. Executes new hire orientation and employee engagement programs. Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants and employees, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate personnel. Maintains database of employee records as well as manages the company’s human resource information system (HRIS). Assists in employee timekeeping on a bi-monthly basis. Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to sourcing and recruiting, compensation and benefits, orientation and training, occupational health and safety, and employee engagement. Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law Performs other tasks as may be assigned from time to time by the Human Resource Manager. MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED Highly organized, keen to details and efficient, skilled at multi-tasking Strong communication skills, both verbal and written Attentive listener, empathetic, and excellent collaborator Ability to follow directions accurately and without hesitation Willing to take initiative, be flexible and work independently when needed Ability to manage conflict and employ interpersonal and critical thinking skills Ability to handle difficult situations with the highest standards of professionalism and confidentiality HR competence and knowledge of HR processes and computer programs Performs work accurately and thoroughly. Has regular and consistent attendance. Reliable and personable; enjoy working with a diverse range of individuals and ensuring employee requirements and needs are met first QUALIFICATION To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform such essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION Must be a Bachelor’s degree holder in Psychology, Human Resource Development and Management, or its equivalent. A Master’s Degree holder is an advantage.
