SUMMARY
The Human Resource Generalist serves as contact for employees, supervisors, and managers, overseeing various human resources (HR) functions. These include recruitment, onboarding, employee benefits, maintaining personnel files, administration of policies and practices, employee relations, performance management, assisting with payroll, employment law compliance and the entry of
HRIS data.
REQUIREMENTS
· Bachelor’s degree in HR Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
· Minimum 2-4 years of human resources preferably in a manufacturing environment.
· Ability to solve problems and work with minimal supervision.
· Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to effectively facilitate meetings.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiarity with HR software systems such as Kronos.
· Proven communication skills, both written and verbal.
· Strong work ethic with attention to details.
· Excellent time-management and multi-tasking skills.
· Proficient experience with State and Federal Leave administration

· Manage the recruitment process, including job postings, resume screening, scheduling interviews, and extending job offers.
· Managing the orientation and onboarding process for new hires, as well as offboarding.
· Maintain accurate HR records and ensure compliance with all labor laws and regulations.
· Coordination of open enrollment, benefits administration, and communicating benefit information.
· Prepare discipline letters due to attendance issues in accordance with the attendance policy.
· Perform data entry related to HRIS. Maintain and update personnel information, new hires and employee job and compensation changes.
· Assist in the process of weekly payroll.
· Respond to unemployment requests, employment verifications, and the administration of workers’ compensation claims.
· Demonstrate a high level of professionalism in dealing with confidential and sensitive issues.
· Provide guidance and support to management and employees on a variety of HR issues, including performance management, employee relations, and compliance with employment laws and regulations.
· Maintain Affirmative Action AA/EEO compliance, OSHA 300 log, accurate entry in Kronos, and benefit portals.
· Oversee the performance review workflow from sending out the review through entry in Kronos and tracking spreadsheet.
