Description Position Summary The Human Resources Generalist supports day-to-day HR operations across the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, and HR recordkeeping. This role serves as a key point of contact for employees and managers, ensuring HR practices align with organizational policy, employment law, and best practices. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Recruitment & Onboarding Coordinate recruitment efforts, including job postings, applicant screening, interviews, and hiring documentation. Facilitate onboarding and offboarding processes, including new hire paperwork, orientations, and exit documentation. Ensure timely completion of background checks, credentialing, and required trainings. Employee Relations & Support Serve as a point of contact for employee questions regarding policies, procedures, benefits, and HR processes. Support employee relations matters, including performance concerns, attendance issues, workplace conflicts, and investigations. Assist managers with corrective actions, documentation, and performance improvement plans. Payroll, Timekeeping & Benefits Support Support payroll processes, including timecard review, corrections, PTO tracking, and coordination with payroll providers. Assist with benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, and employee inquiries. Maintain accurate records related to leave (e.g., OFLA, Paid Leave Oregon, FMLA, as applicable). Compliance & Recordkeeping Maintain employee personnel files in compliance with federal, state, and organizational requirements. Support compliance with employment laws and regulations (e.g., wage and hour, leave laws, workers’ compensation). Assist with audits, licensing reviews, and compliance reporting as needed. HR Operations & Projects Support updates to HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks. Assist with HR reporting, data tracking, and metrics. Participate in HR initiatives such as training coordination, engagement activities, and process improvements.
