POSITION PROFILE

Cérélia’s newly established Frozen Breakfast Business Unit is driving an ambitious growth strategy, backed by two manufacturing facilities: US Waffle in Liberty, SC, and Marson Foods in Hazelwood, MO. To effectively support the rapid scaling of operations at our Liberty facility, Cérélia is seeking a dynamic and skilled HR Generalist to join our team in Liberty, SC.
As an HR Generalist, you will be involved in all aspects of HR and able to provide your insight and experience to assist with the continued evolution of the HR Dept. and really make a long-lasting mark in the Company. The HR Generalist is responsible for providing guidance & support to all employee groups through assisting in the implementation of company-wide HR programs, resolution of human resources issues, and promoting enhanced organizational efficiency, communication and understanding. This role will also be responsible for the full-cycle new hire orientation process.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
· 2–4 years of experience in workforce recruiting and coordination within an HR team, preferably in a manufacturing or food production environment.
· Experience working with multi-shift, hourly (blue-collar) workforces.
· Familiarity with workforce management systems (experience with Plex is a plus).

TECHNICAL SKILLS

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (pivot tables, formulas, and data analysis).
· Understanding of labor laws, overtime rules, and scheduling best practices.
· Bilingual English and Spanish

SOFT SKILLS

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with managers and engage with employees.
· Problem-solving mindset with the ability to make quick, effective decisions.
· High level of organization and attention to detail.
· Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year

Responsibilities

· Completing pre-hire paperwork and background screening procedures for all candidates, as well as conducting new hire orientation/onboarding.
· Responsible for the accurate and timely weekly and biweekly closure of payroll for salaried and hourly employees.
· Responsible for addressing root causes and developing action plans to resolve for the long term.
· Ensure new hires receive information for all our benefit programs at hire and their elections are processed in a timely manner.
· Assist Manager of People & Culture with the evaluation of positions and justification for salary changes if required.
· Assist with the industry survey to ensure competitive rates are paid. In partnership with the Assistant Manager, People & Culture provide yearly analysis and recommendations for increases to salaried and hourly personnel by position and performance.
· Establish and manage employee records, and files, safeguarding the confidentiality of employee documents.
· Provide guidance to managers/supervisors related to company privacy policy and non-release of personal information related to any of their employees except through Human Resources.
· Assist in tracking of call outs/attendance and properly communicate with management team.
· Respond to and resolve difficult and sensitive inquiries and complaints.
· Prepare and complete documents for new hires and ensure that payroll is updated with the appropriate information.
· Responsible for accurate entry within the HRIS.
