Responsibilities
  • Serve as frontline support for employee questions and concerns, fostering positive employee relations, providing guidance, and resolving workplace issues with fairness, confidentiality, and professionalism.
  • Serve as a trusted business partner to the leadership team to provide strategic insight and recommendations on HR functions to achieve organizational goals.
  • Conduct thorough, timely, and objective workplace investigations into employee complaints, policy violations, and workplace incidents, documenting findings and corrective actions.
  • Develop, update, and implement HR policies and procedures in alignment with company values, provincial and federal legal requirements, and industry best practices.
  • In collaboration with HR leadership team, implement annual HR plans and special projects. Build and implement employee engagement strategies to increase employee satisfaction and retention.
  • Support with planning and execution of annual engagement survey, company social events, and other HR programs.
  • Engage as a trusted adviser and subject matter expert to coach employees and managers on sensitive work-related issues related but not limited to conflict resolution.
  • Maintain confidentiality and integrity through all course of actions.
  • Cross functional collaboration with key stakeholders and employees to ensure effective change management and application of HR strategies across the organization.
  • Utilizing data and metrics to make informed decisions in support of the organization.
  • Work cohesively with the recruitment team to align talent with organizational goals.
  • Partner with leadership to facilitate the annual performance review cycle, and ongoing performance management steps (progressive discipline, coaching, performance improvement plans etc.).
  • Compliance with all rules & policies regarding health safety, occupational safety, environmental safety, food safety, legal regulations, company requirements, etc.
  • Compliance with the Company’s Integrated Management Systems which includes, but is not limited to Production, Quality, Food Safety & GMP.
  • Support with document collection as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
