We are looking for an Group HR Advisor to be involved in the development, admin and smooth-running of all aspects of our HR function. you will be the main point of contact for all HR matters – including recruitment – supporting both management and staff. As a manufacturing business with two sites and over 100 staff, there’s plenty to get involved in!
This is an ideal opportunity for someone at or working towards CIPD Level 5 who’s looking to grow, develop and take control of the full remit of HR functions.

SKILLS, QUALITIES AND EXPERIENCE

  • At or approaching CIPD level 5 or equivalent experience.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of employment law and HR best practice
  • Experience of and enthusiasm for recruitment processes.
  • Process-based – willingness to develop and maintain HR procedures across the business.
  • Highly organised.
  • Attention to detail and thoroughness is essential.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Experience of Mentor HR and H&S system would be helpful but not essential.
  • General H&S experience would be helpful, but is not essential.
  • Own transport is essential as occasional travel to our sites.
Responsibilities
  • HR: employment contracts, probation reminders, illness admin, holiday admin etc.
  • ER: first point of contact for managers and staff. ER processes including disciplinary, grievance, appeals, long term sickness, absence management etc.
  • Recruitment: publicising roles, booking and following up interviews, sending letters and job offers, organising contracts and terms.
  • Staff induction process: first day, induction training, ensuring equipment requirements are met
  • Attending HR & H&S meetings.
