We are the captive Shared Service Provider for DHL Global Forwarding and DHL Freight (DGFF). We are an organization of more than 5,000 colleagues complemented by approximately 500 virtual FTE (i.e., bots applied in process automation). Our colleagues are based across six service delivery centers in Mumbai, Chennai, Chengdu, Manila, Bogota & Budapest. EXPERIENCE LEVEL

  • Minimum 10+ years of proven experience of working as a senior HR lead within a large/global organization.
  • Advanced English proficiency (C1 or higher), with the ability to lead conversations, reporting, and strategies in English.
  • Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, regulations, and administrative processes.
  • Ability to align HR and administrative strategies with organizational goals for business success.
  • Experienced in change management, organizational transformations, and transition management.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to navigate complex organizational structures effectively.
  • Proven track record in managing administrative functions such as facilities, vendors, and compliance.

Responsibilities

JOB PURPOSE

The Centre HR Head, DGFF GSC Bogotá oversees and directs all aspects of HR strategic and HR operational functions for the GSC center with over 350 employees, in alignment with the HR and organizational objectives and strategies. Collaborating closely with senior management, this role drives initiatives to optimize talent acquisition, performance management, and employee engagement efforts to foster a conducive work environment and facilitate organizational growth. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with HR policies and regulations, while also spearheading continuous improvement initiatives to enhance HR processes and practices. Moreover, the Centre HR Head plays a pivotal role in talent management, organizational design, and workforce planning to support the center’s operational excellence and strategic objectives. Effective communication, stakeholder engagement, and strategic thinking are essential attributes for success in this influential leadership position.

KEY TASKS – HR MANAGEMENT

  • Define short to medium-term HR strategies, frameworks, and budgets for the GSC center.
  • Identify development needs and competency gaps focusing on talent management, performance management, and employee engagement.
  • Direct the design, development, and management of high-quality HR interventions and solutions, including consulting, recruiting, interviews, compensation & benefits, and employee relations.
  • Conceptualize new and review existing HR processes, tools, and standards, covering areas such as HR policies, compliance, organizational design, and HR strategy.
  • Explore the DHL structure to ensure organizational culture is effectively onboarded, utilizing corporate storytelling, coaching, and facilitation techniques with leadership to engage and align them towards common objectives.
  • Track metrics and review implementation of HR strategies and plans, monitoring key performance indicators related to HR processes, stakeholder management, and business requirements.
  • Approve recommendations and selections related to HR vendors and partners, managing stakeholder relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with business requirements and DPDHL business knowledge.
  • Monitor industry trends and incorporate best HR practices into organizational strategies, staying updated on developments in business processes, business strategy, project management, and customer relationship management.
  • Implement professional development paths and individual development plans for employees, assessing talent management strategies, resourcing, and personnel management practices to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Continuously report and improve key HR metrics and measures of success, leveraging influencing skills, feedback mechanisms, and performance management techniques to drive improvements in HR processes, quality, quantity, and efficiency.

KEY TASKS – OFFICE ADMINISTRATION

  • Oversee the efficient management of employee transportation services, ensuring timely and safe transportation for staff members.
  • Negotiate contracts, review service level agreements, and monitor vendor performance to ensure quality service delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies related to office administration, safety, and hygiene.
  • Collaborate with finance and other departments to develop and manage the office budget, including capital and operating expenditures. Oversee the processing and payment of invoices for office-related services and expenses. Plan and prioritize capital investments for office infrastructure and equipment upgrades as needed.
