UGL and CPB Contractors have been selected by Transgrid to deliver the ~140km western section of the HumeLink high voltage electricity transmission project. HumeLink is a new 500kV transmission project which will connect Wagga Wagga, Maragle and Bannaby in regional NSW that will significantly increase the capacity of the electricity network in Australia’s eastern states. HumeLink is one of Australia’s largest energy infrastructure projects, with about 365kms of proposed new transmission lines and a range of other new and upgraded infrastructure. The HumeLink West scope of works, worth $1.4bn, includes delivery of new 500kV double circuit transmission lines spanning ~140kms from Wagga Wagga Substation to a new Substation at Gugaa, the Interface Point with HumeLink East near Gundagai and a new substation at Maragle in the Snowy Mountains for future connection to Snowy 2.0. The Role: We are currently seeking experienced HR Hi-Ab Truck drivers to join our Logistics team. You will play a key role in transporting materials to our transmission tower teams, working within an established crew on a large-scale infrastructure project. This will be on a FIFO/DIDO basis on a 3:1 roster, based in camp at Tarcutta, NSW. All flights, accommodation and meals provided to you. Locals to our project are also encoursaged to apply. About you / Key Requirements: Construction Whitecard Heavy Rigid Drivers License – a must, HC preferable CV Crane License or above (C6, C0) – a must High Risk Work Licenses – Dogging - a must Proven expeirence driving and operating hi-ab trucks in a construction environment Additional high risk work licenses – highly advantageous Work to a high standard and be passionate about what you do Ability to undergo a pre-employment medical We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
