PERMANENT FULL-TIME POSITION IN NORTH VANCOUVER(Hybrid) CLOSES:  Open Until Filled BE PART OF SOMETHING MEANINGFUL!  Join the Chén̓chenstway Human Resources Department as an HR Initiatives and Project Support professional. This position plays a vital role in advancing the Squamish Nation’s HR priorities by coordinating projects, supporting strategic initiatives, and ensuring timely, accurate, and organized delivery of department goals. As an integral member of the Chén̓chenstway team, you’ll help strengthen organizational effectiveness, collaboration, and communication while supporting HR initiatives that contribute to the Nation’s vision and values. WHAT YOU’LL DO * Support the Management team with departmental initiatives, projects, and priorities aligned with the Squamish Nation Strategic Plan and departmental workplans. * Provide project management support for HR programs and initiatives—conducting research, preparing task lists, compiling and analyzing data, and drafting communications and reports. * Establish and maintain project timelines and work priorities to ensure deadlines are met. * Draft, review, and finalize documents and communications, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with policies and procedures. * Liaise with Nation employees, management, leadership, and external stakeholders to support effective communication and project coordination. * Coordinate meetings, prepare presentations, and ensure participants have the necessary materials and documentation in advance. * Track and maintain statistical information for reporting purposes; prepare interim, quarterly, and annual summaries as required. * Contribute to the development and delivery of departmental communications in alignment with established processes and guidelines. * Provide administrative support and backup coverage as needed, assisting with office coordination and documentation. * Support administrative staff by providing advice, guidance, and direction on policies, procedures, and office systems. * Maintain confidentiality and exercise tact and diplomacy when managing sensitive information. * Contribute collaboratively to the Chén̓chenstway HR team to achieve departmental goals. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR * Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Business Management, or a related field. * Experience supporting management and coordinating projects, including communication, scheduling, and deadline management. * Demonstrated experience with policy and compliance-oriented duties and working with HR policies, laws, and regulations. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and strong computer literacy. * Experience using large-scale databases. * Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects and priorities. * Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail and accuracy. * Professional interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment. * Cultural humility and respect for Sḵwx̱wú7mesh values, sovereignty, and self-determination.
