Description Job Purpose: We are seeking an enthusiastic HR Intern to join our team and provide invaluable support to our HR department. The HR Intern be working closely with our HR team to manage and optimize our HRIS, gaining insights into how technology supports HR processes and employee engagement. In this role, you will help maintain accurate employee records, assist in data analysis, and contribute to various projects aimed at enhancing the user experience. Duties: · Support the onboarding process by preparing documentation and inputting new hires into the system. · Assist with the generation of reports related to employee data and HR metrics as needed. · Conduct regular assessments of employee performance and satisfaction surveys. · Conduct data entry tasks to ensure timely updates and compliance with HR processes. · Help create and update user guides and training materials for HR staff on HRIS functionality. · Manages permissions, access, personalization, and similar system operations and settings for HRIS users. · Maintain all employee and applicant documentation (including employee personnel files), as dictated by governing agencies. · Participate in the planning and organization of employee engagement activities and events. · Contribute content to the monthly employee engagement newsletter. · Support the Payroll and Benefits team with employee benefits programs and the annual open enrollment process. · Responding to inquiries regarding HR policies, employee benefits, and other HR-related matters, escalating to a senior member of the HR team as needed. · Ensure accuracy and completeness of employee information in our company HR system. · Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. · Assist with processing of terminations. · Assist with recruitment and interview process, tracking status of candidates in HRIS and responds with follow-up letters at the end of the recruiting process. · Schedule meetings and interviews as requested by the director of HR. · Prepare new hire gifting. · Other related duties as assigned. Requirements Skills/Qualifications: · Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources or a related field. · Basic knowledge of HR principles and practices · Strong interest in Human Resources and HRIS technologies. · Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail. · Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis. · Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism. · Strong written and verbal communication skills. · A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges. Physical Requirements · Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
