  • 50% of travel is expected mainly within Northern Europe

We are seeking an experienced and passionate HR professional to partner with the organization’s leadership and People & Culture (P&C) team in North Europe as the catalyst for the deployment of the One Sanofi People Strategy for the company. The incumbent will contribute to the achievement of the company’s short- and long-term goals by providing P&C leadership and support (talent management, performance, organization, culture, etc) whilst ensuring alignment to Sanofi’s Global Business Strategy as well as the Play to Win culture. This is a senior, individual contributor role and doesn’t involve team management.
As a member of the North Europe People & Culture (P&C) team, you will be expected to work in close partnership with the business leaders and the rest of the P&C community across the geography.

Responsibilities
  • Act as the Sanofi ambassador externally on all People matters across the Nordic countries including strengthening partnerships with key stakeholders, advocating our business agenda supporting the shaping of the right employment law policies in the markets in service of our business mission.
  • Sponsor employee relations at the relevant government or statutory bodies and hold accountability for the healthy and compliant implementation of our employee related policies in line with the local labour legislation across the Nordic region. Be one of the representatives in the authorities of the Whistleblowing act in the Nordic countries.
  • Lead the Employee Value Proposition externally acting as a strong sponsor, utilizing competitive intelligence of the biopharma industry in the Nordic region.
  • Ensure the deployment of our One People & Culture strategy and change at Nordic level.
  • Drive People & Culture function matters at local level and provide proactively input to market view.
  • Own People & Culture counseling and support for line managers across the Nordic countries and beyond as per the set up of our new model, safeguarding and contributing to the P&C operational health.
  • Provide input on workforce planning for the respective countries.
  • Provide input to People Services management improving service experience and efficiency.
  • Own the local deployment of Social Unions /Labor Relations strategy aligned with Global and market Labor Relations. Be the liaison to the co-determination bodies and negotiate collective labor agreements at local level.
  • Partner with the People Business Partners of all GBUs and Functions to implement organizational changes effectively in the local context and local systems (if required), manage reorganizations by supporting union/ works council negotiations as well as leading the transition/ exit of people.
  • Provide coaching at leadership level where relevant.
  • Champion “learn, share & re-apply” across the Sanofi organization by collaborating with PBPs, CoEs and People Services.
  • Act as a strong Advisor concerning escalations for key and leadership roles on country level.
  • Ensure talent strategy deployment at satellite country level: Review the country talent pipeline depth to ensure appropriate talent density in partnership with the respective market and GBU/GF people business partner (PBP) and North EuropeTalent Management Partner, drive the importance of the talent principles through coaching of the leaders in country, including encouraging bold moves on talent and supporting talent acquisition activities in the country.
  • Partner with leaders and Talent Acquisition CoE as required on the relevant leadership hires for the Nordic countries and on hires into roles which help to build deep skill/knowledge in a critical capability area aligned to strategic plans fueling in our talent pipelines
  • Support delivery of people & culture activities that require on-site presence or where local language requirements cannot be covered by the hubs.
  • Support in country Talent acquisition activities as required in partnership with TA team. Obtain approvals from works council/union where applicable.
  • Learning – Support on-site learning admin and handle local audit of learning delivery in partnership with Learning COE.
  • Rewards and Recognition – Support adjustment and negotiation of collective labor agreements, manage personnel cost/ budget, local plans, and exceptions.
  • Proactively encourage all line managers and employees to utilize ESS/MSS and One Support.
