As our new HR Legal and Compliance Specialist, you will especially focus on ensuring the company adheres to all relevant employment laws and regulations, and follows internal policies and procedures. This role involves close collaboration with the People & Culture team and legal department to address compliance-related issues and support the company’s global operations with a focus on the EMEA region.

Responsibilities
  • Policy Management: Design, Review, update and maintain company policies to ensure compliance with the latest regulations.
  • Compliance & legal advisory: Ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations, and labor agreements across multiple countries.
  • Internal audits: Conduct audits to assess the company’s compliance status and identify areas for improvement. Identify potential employee relations risks and proactively address them to minimize legal exposure.
  • External audits: Overseeing Local audits, occupational health, work environment compliance, office compliance in the EMEA locations
  • Training and Guidance: Develop and implement compliance training programs for employees and provide guidance to P&C and management staff.
  • Regulatory Updates: Stay informed about changes in laws and regulations affecting the company and advise management accordingly. Monitor changes in local labor laws and ensure policies and practices are updated accordingly
  • Reporting: Prepare and present reports on compliance operations and progress to senior management.
  • Dispute Resolution: Manage complex employee relations issues, grievances, and workplace investigations.
  • Collaboration: Partner with P&C colleagues, Corporate legal, and business leaders to address labor-related challenges and ensure consistency and compliance in employment practices.
  • Documentation & Contracts: Preparing and review termination agreements, disciplinary letters, PIP’s etc.
  • Ad hoc project work: e.g. implementation of EU regulations like the transparency directive.
    It is a global role, primarily stakeholders across EMEA region but also interacting with the rest of the offices outside EMEA.
    This is a maternity cover for 1 year with start date as fast as possible.
