Description
We are looking for an experienced HR Manager for the Asia region (Singapore, China, Japan, Australia, Indonesia, Dubai, Africa, Korea) to help deliver our ambitious HR agenda, ensuring that it is reflected in business decisions and aligned to achieve our growth strategy. In this role you are responsible for partnering business leaders to deliver effective people strategies across multiple Asian markets. Reporting to the Head of HR, Asia, this role provides end-to-end HR leadership, ensures compliance with local employment regulations, and supports organisational growth through talent, performance, and workforce initiatives aligned to regional business objectives. Key Responsibilities 1. Strategic HR Business Partnering • Partner regional and country leaders to support business strategy, organisational design, and workforce planning across Asia. • Advise leaders on people matters including employee relations, performance management, and change management. • Translate global and regional HR strategies into practical, locally compliant solutions. 2. Talent Management & Workforce Planning • Lead and support regional initiatives covering talent acquisition, succession planning, and leadership development. • Support hiring strategies across Asian markets, including assessment of appropriate employment models. • Drive consistent performance management and capability development practices across the region. 3. Employee Relations & Employment Law • Provide guidance on employee relations matters including investigations, disciplinary actions, and grievances in compliance with local laws. • Ensure adherence to employment legislation across multiple Asian jurisdictions, with strong expertise in Singapore employment law. • Partner with external legal counsel and advisors as required. 4. Compensation, Benefits & HR Operations • Support regional compensation and benefits planning, including annual salary and bonus reviews. • Ensure consistent application of HR policies, processes, and employee lifecycle management across Asia. • Oversee HR data accuracy, reporting, and documentation in line with governance and audit requirements. 5. Change Management & Organisational Effectiveness • Support organisational change initiatives such as restructures, integrations, and market expansion. • Drive employee engagement, culture, and inclusion initiatives aligned with company values. • Coach managers through complex people and organisational issues. 6. Stakeholder & Vendor Management • Act as a key HR point of contact for Asia-based stakeholders. • Manage relationships with external vendors including recruiters, payroll providers, and HR consultants. • Collaborate closely with global HR teams to ensure alignment and consistency. What we’re looking for in you · 8–12 years of progressive HR experience, including regional or multi-country responsibility within Asia. · Strong working knowledge of Singapore employment law; exposure to other Asian jurisdictions is essential. · Experience operating in matrixed, international organisations. · Proven experience partnering senior leaders as a trusted HR advisor. · Strong commercial and business acumen. · Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills. · Sound judgement in managing HR risk and employee relations matters. · Ability to operate strategically while remaining hands-on in a regional role. · Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. · Bachelor’s degree in human resources, or related discipline. · HRIS experience with ability to generate and analyse reports – Workday experience is a plus.
