Description:

Postion : HR Manager
Contract : Full time, 40 days per week over 5 days
Salary : From £38,000 per annum
Based : Manchester Office (with some requirement for UK travel)
Due to the growth of our business, we are looking for a skilled and proactive HR generalist to become a part of our team. This individual will be responsible for delivering efficient HR services to Compact Security Services and other affiliated businesses. In this crucial position stand alone position, the ideal candidate will coordinate and manage HR processes and practices, to include effective high volume recruitment planning and delivery, compliance with screening and vetting procedures, employee relations, welfare, wellbeing, training & development and legislative compliance.
In collaboration with the general manager, the HR manager will promote and implement our core values. Overseeing the recruitment and vetting team, they will serve as the primary point of contact for all HR enquiries, offering proactive advice, guidance, and support to both management and team members.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Demonstrated experience in a generalist HR manager role, ideally within an SME or multi-site environment in the security, events, hospitality or cleaning/facilities management sectors
  • Experience of high volume recruitment
  • Level 5 CIPD qualification as minimum
  • People focused with a hand’s on approach and the ability to communicate effectively with team at all levels.
  • Confidence to proactively manage employee relations, end to end recruitment and HR and scheduling systems.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of UK employment law and HR best practices, including TUPE.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain confidentiality and work under pressure.
  • Proven experience and success supporting and coaching managers through team development initiatives and employee relations issues
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends where required, along with the ability to travel within the UK to support on site event teams , including some overnight stays away from home is required.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage HR operations, including end to end recruitment processes and planning, onboarding, and performance management for all business areas.
  • Collaborate with General Manager and senior leaders to deliver strategic HR projects aligned with the Business Strategy.
  • Address and resolve employee relations issues and grievances in a timely and effective manner, supporting formal meetings and processes as required
  • Provide advice and guidance to managers, to ensure people centred approach to maximise performance and consistent standards of service delivery.
  • Review and update of policies and procedures as required.
  • Support development and delivery of employee welfare and wellbeing engagement initiatives.
  • Ensure adherence to UK employment legislation and best practice ensuring all changes and updates that may affect the business fully communicated and polices updated.
  • Monitor and review training compliance, ensuring staff qualifications are up-to-date.
  • Co-ordinate and manage performance review processes
  • Coach and support Recruitment and Vetting team in their development and daily responsibilities..
  • Oversee team benefits programs and employee rewards.
  • Maintaining accurate employee records on our Workable and PARIm systems
  • Prepare and manage HR reports and KPIs.
