Key Responsibilities:

Human Resources Leadership

· Review HR policies, procedures, and programs aligned with organizational goals.

· Partner with General Managers and department leaders on workforce planning and employee matters.

· Provide coaching and guidance to managers on HR best practices.

· Monitor employee engagement, retention, workplace culture, and organizational effectiveness.

· Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR documentation.

Recruitment & Talent Management

· Lead recruitment activities across dealerships and corporate operations.

· Develop effective sourcing strategies for automotive sales, service, parts, administration, and leadership positions.

· Coordinate interviews, offers, onboarding, and new-hire documentation.

· Support succession planning and internal career development.

· Develop strategies to improve employee retention and reduce turnover.

Employee Relations

· Act as a trusted resource for employees and management regarding workplace concerns.

· Investigate employee complaints and workplace issues fairly and confidentially.

· Support conflict resolution and effective communication between employees and management.

· Manage disciplinary processes and performance improvement plans.

· Promote a respectful, inclusive, and collaborative workplace environment.

Performance & Development

· Manage and improve the organization's performance management process.

· Support managers with goal setting, performance reviews, coaching, and corrective action.

· Identify training and development needs.

· Coordinate employee training, leadership development, and professional development initiatives.

Compliance & Workplace Safety

· Ensure HR practices comply with applicable employment standards, human rights, occupational health and safety, privacy, and other legislation.

· Maintain current knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices.

· Support workplace health and safety initiatives and incident management.

· Maintain required documentation and assist with audits or regulatory requirements.


Qualifications:

· Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

· 3–5+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in an automotive, dealership, retail, manufacturing, or similarly fast-paced environment.

· CHRP/CHRL designation or working toward designation is considered an asset.

· Experience with HRIS, payroll, and Microsoft Office applications. HR4 Experience would be considered an asset.

· Strong knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices.

· Experience with recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and workplace investigations.

· Strong interpersonal, communication, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills.

· Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism.

· Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
