Why this role?
As an HR Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the people strategy of our German team. This position offers a diverse range of responsibilities, from strategic initiatives to administrative tasks, and the opportunity to advise both employees and management on all HR matters. Your reporting line with be a combination of the Head of People & Culture based in Amsterdam and the local Management. You will enjoy a high level of autonomy in a dynamic, forward-thinking environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and Implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
• Serve as the key link between management and employees, addressing needs, grievances, and concerns.
• Lead the recruitment and selection process for Edge Germany.
• Drive employee development and foster a positive work culture.
• Oversee and optimize the annual performance management process.
• Coordinate employer branding activities in Germany, in collaboration with our Dutch branding team.
• Provide expert guidance on employee relations, well-being, insurance, performance management, and development.
• Handle HR administration, including payroll (in collaboration with an external provider), absence management, and health insurance.
• Support leadership on all HR-related matters.
• Ensure clear and effective internal HR communication.
• Guarantee legal compliance with labor laws and regulations.

Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in HR, Psychology, Business Administration or similar
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar HR role, e.g. HR Business Partner
• Knowledge of the German Labor Market, Laws and Trends
• Preferably, experience in internal corporate communications
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills in both German and English
