Responsibilities

Working within a small and friendly HR and Payroll team you will be responsible for managing all HR matters including but not limited to absence management, disciplinary and grievance processes, mentoring and training & development.

This is a full-time, permanent position, working 40 hours a week which will generally be worked Monday – Friday, although the site operates on weekends, bank holidays and there is a night shift so some flexibility on occasion may be required. As this is a manufacturing site, the role is site-based. Salary is negotiable dependent on experience. Working with department managers, you will be responsible for:

  • The development, support and delivery of employee engagement
  • Providing guidance and coaching to management teams and encourage managers to make effective decisions
  • Providing advice on all aspects of company policy, best practice, employee relations and employment law, keeping abreast of new legislations
  • Supporting operational teams to reinforce company culture
  • Supporting capability development and retention across all roles and departments
  • Assisting and providing guidance in relation to grievance and disciplinary issues up to and including dismissal and appeal
  • Reviewing HR management information and suggesting areas for improvement
  • Developing and delivering training workshops for managers and employees across all departments
  • Supporting and leading various projects, e.g. restructures, new scheme rollouts etc.
