Description Summary The Human Resources Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day HR functions for a designated business unit, with a strong focus on employee relations, operational support, and alignment with business objectives. This role partners closely with the Business Unit Leader and/or Operations Manager to drive a positive employee experience, ensure compliance, and support organizational performance. Reporting Structure Reports directly to the Director, HRBP Works closely with Operations, Business Unit Leadership, and other internal departments Key Responsibilities Employee Relations & Engagement Serve as the primary HR contact for employees and managers within the assigned business unit Provide guidance and resolution on employee relations issues, including performance management, conflict resolution, and workplace concerns Promote a positive, inclusive, and compliant work environment Support employee engagement initiatives and retention strategies Business Partnership Act as a strategic partner to the Business Unit Leader and/or Operations Manager Align HR practices with business goals and operational needs Provide coaching to leaders on people management, team development, and organizational effectiveness Support workforce planning and organizational design HR Operations Partner with HR Ops Specialist on day-to-day HR functions including onboarding, offboarding, performance reviews, and policy administration Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems Partner with HR shared services (if applicable) on payroll, benefits, and recruiting processes Performance & Talent Management Support performance management processes, including goal setting, reviews, and corrective actions Identify talent gaps and partner on development plans Assist in succession planning and leadership development initiatives Policy & Compliance Enforce company policies and procedures Conduct investigations as needed and ensure proper documentation Stay current on employment law and HR best practices Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience) 7-10 years of progressive HR experience, with strong employee relations background Experience supporting a specific business unit, site, or operational team preferred Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills Ability to influence and build relationships with leaders and employees at all levels SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred
