As our HR Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and supporting the people agenda of our growing consulting business. You will combine strategic management with hands-on delivery, defining and implementing core HR processes, overseeing and accelerating recruitment and employee data management, and ensuring our HR systems and practices effectively support the business. Position: HR Manager Working Hours: Full-time with 40 hours/week Working Model: Work from office Location: City centre of Berlin, Germany Key Responsibilities: 1. HR Strategy & Operations Management Define and implement the HR strategy in line with the company’s commercial objectives and growth plans Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on all people-related matters Support the development of a strong, values-driven culture aligned to a consulting and client-focused environment Ensure effective prioritisation and delivery of HR services 2. HR Process Design & Implementation Support the design, implementation, and continuously improvement of key HR processes, policies and frameworks Ensure HR processes are scalable, efficient, and compliant with the relevant regulations Lead change initiatives related to organisational growth and maturity 3. Talent Acquisition & Onboarding Lead and oversee recruitment activities across the business, including senior and specialist consulting roles Work closely with business leaders to understand workforce planning and resourcing needs Support recruitment processes and interviews hands-on by acting as a lead recruiter Ensure effective onboarding processes and enable rapid integration and productivity 4. HR Data System Oversee employee data management, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and compliance with GDPR Maintain the HRIS, ensuring it is up to date, fit for purpose, and effectively utilised Produce and analyse HR metrics and reporting to support decision-making Support finance and external suppliers with payroll preparation 5. Performance, Development & Engagement Implement and manage performance management frameworks appropriate to a consulting environment Support learning, development, and career progression initiatives Promote employee engagement and retention through effective people practices 6. Employee Relations & Compliance Manage and oversee employee relations matters, including disciplinary and performance reviews Ensure compliance with employment law and internal policies, coordinating with external suppliers Act as a focal point for employee relations and people and culture topics Qualifications: At least 6 years of experience in a senior HR role, ideally within consulting, professional services, start-up, or scale-up Ability to operate both strategically and in a hands-on, delivery-focused manner Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including proven exposure to C-level management German, Spanish or Hungarian language skills are a plus Strong organisational and time-management skills, with an exceptional eye for detail.
