POSITION OVERVIEW:

The HR Manager will lead and direct all routine functions of Human
Resource within the assigned community including recruiting, on-boarding and protecting the interests of the care team member and the company in accordance with company policies/procedures and governmental laws and regulations to minimize risk and create a culture of fairness, consistency and compliance.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • One to three years of experience in a human resources position; long-term care setting preferred but not required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, required.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with the leadership team in managing the recruiting and on-boarding process.
  • Present benefit plans to care team members and explain changes to benefit plans, care team member options, and the process of enrollment/de-enrollment.
  • Responsible for follow-up with newly hired care team members based on the reports received from

company health insurance broker. Responsible to ensure all communication and benefits material are provided to any care team member who experiences a status change.

  • Responsible for the overall compliance in maintaining Care Team Member files;

completing the I-9 and/or E-Verify process, ensuring new hire completes all necessary

forms for their file and track EEO documents.

  • Responsible for tracking and monitoring OSHA 300 Log and recordable events; assists

Executive Director and other managers with investigating work-related incidents; works

with Regional HR Director on complex, loss time, recordable incidents.

  • Responsible for responding timely to and/or participating in unemployment

claims/matters.

  • Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations
  • Serves as a liaison between the care team member and Regional HR Director in regard to assisting care team members with leave requests and ensure that appropriate documentation is submitted for review, determination of eligibility, departing and returning from leave, benefits, PTO, etc.
  • Serves as a liaison between community and Payroll Specialist to ensure the HRIS

contains correct care team member information.

  • Provide support and guidance during complex, specialized and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigate allegations of wrongdoing and terminations.
