A rare leadership role — build our people, culture and safety function from the ground up, reporting directly to the CEO.
Location: Altona North, Victoria
Employment Type: Full Time – On Site (not hybrid)
About us
Healthfarm Fine Foods is the proud Family Owned, Australian Made business behind Mayver’s - Australia’s #1 natural spreads brand, ranged nationally across major retail.
Alongside our famous peanut butter, our range spans protein bars, granola, nutritional powders and pet products, and we continue to grow rapidly across new categories, customers and markets.
Today our team of more than 90 people spans manufacturing, warehouse, quality, engineering, sales and marketing, finance and administration, and we’re building the leadership and people foundations to match our growth ambitions.
The opportunity
As we scale, we’re establishing our first dedicated People, Culture & Safety function, and we’re looking for an experienced leader to build it.
Reporting directly to the CEO, this is a hands on, standalone role that owns the full employee lifecycle and sets the people and safety agenda for the business.
You’ll be equally comfortable shaping strategy with the executive, whilst solving problems on the factory floor: creating stronger structures, processes and laying the foundations that will carry us through our next stage of growth.
What you’ll do
· Function & strategy — establish our People, Culture and Safety function. The systems, policies, processes and people strategy the business needs to scale.
· Leadership development — design and deliver practical development that lifts the capability of frontline supervisors, managers and senior leaders.
· On-site training & compliance — build and run induction, mandatory and role specific training, keeping records and compliance on track across our operational teams.
· Talent & lifecycle — lead recruitment, onboarding and the wider employee lifecycle.
· Employee relations — advise and support managers on employee relations, performance and complex workplace matters.
· Employment compliance — ensure we meet our obligations under the Fair Work Act, the NES and Modern Awards.
· Safety & wellbeing — partner with all operational leaders to strengthen our safety and wellbeing culture end to end.
· Reward & engagement — support remuneration, payroll and engagement initiatives that help us attract and retain great people.
