THE COLLEGE

Oxford International College (OIC) Brighton is an international day and boarding college for students aged 13 to 18. Following the IGCSE and A Level curriculums, OIC Brighton’s curriculum is based on the proven success of Oxford International College’s three-pronged curriculum model which has led to outstanding academic outcomes. OIC Brighton intends to join OIC Oxford at the top of the UK league tables, preparing our leavers for the most competitive courses at the world’s best universities. The College opened on the historical Ovingdean Hall site in August 2023 and is due to grow incrementally over the next 3 years, with a large expansion project planned on the site and a final capacity of 500 teaching spaces. OIC Brighton’s students are predominantly international boarders, many of whom stay onsite over weekends and short holidays. There are currently both boarding and estates staff resident onsite. The site is rented to holiday programmes at Easter and during the summer.

RECRUITMENT AND INDUCTION

· Coordinate the advertisement of vacancies, working with external partners to publicise available roles.
· Develop job descriptions, person specifications, job advertisements, and candidate information packs, liaising with hiring managers where appropriate.
· Oversee the recruitment process, including communicating timeframes to all involved and sending out the necessary information at each stage.
· Prepare material for interviews, including collating interview questions and developing tasks.
· Ensure safer recruitment procedures are followed.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor’s Degree
· CIPD qualification (level 5) or equivalent.
· Relevant HR and Payroll administration experience and skills.
· Experience of using HRIS and Payroll software.
· A general understanding of UK employment law and HR policies and principles.
· Experience gained providing support and advice to managers.
· Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
· Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills.
· Strong customer focus.
· Ability to use initiative and effective problem-solving skills.
· Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint for producing reports and presentations.
· Good cross-cultural, interpersonal and communication skills to interact with diverse nationalities and cultures.
· Excellent analytical skills – with the passion and drive to demonstrate and quantify success.
· Results orientated with the ability to consistently map efforts against identified KPIs.
· Excellent time management skills and flexibility in dealing with multi-functional tasks.
· You’d like to work in a purpose-led sector.
Role: Full-time, 1 year FTC.

Responsibilities

The HR Manager will ensure the provision of a comprehensive, confidential and accurate HR and Safer recruiting service and ensure the college is always compliant with relevant employment law legislation. The successful candidate will work to staff the college, manage appraisal and staff development processes and work with leaders to promote professional development and positive workplace culture. The post is critical in ensuring the College is prepared for regulatory inspections by the ISI, OFSTED and other relevant bodies.
