Position Summary This is not your typical HR role. As the Human Resources Manager, you will help shape the future of Oyster Harbors Marine by building an outstanding employee experience from recruitment through retirement. You'll be a strategic business partner, coach, culture champion, and trusted advisor to leaders across multiple locations. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing strategy with hands-on execution. Key Responsibilities Talent Acquisition & Recruiting Lead full-cycle recruiting across all company departments Develop creative recruiting strategies to attract top talent Build relationships with trade schools, colleges, military transition programs, and industry organizations Coordinate interviews and hiring decisions Improve onboarding processes that create exceptional first impressions Employee Relations Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees Coach leaders through employee performance and development Assist with conflict resolution and workplace investigations Promote a respectful, positive, and accountable workplace culture Support employee engagement initiatives Performance Management Oversee annual performance review process Assist managers with coaching and documentation Develop career pathing and succession planning Support leadership development initiatives Compensation & Benefits Administer employee benefit programs Coordinate annual open enrollment Assist with compensation planning and salary benchmarking Maintain employee records and HRIS systems Compliance Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws Maintain employee policies and handbook Oversee workers' compensation and unemployment claims Coordinate required employment postings and reporting Partner with outside legal counsel when necessary Ensure all industry safety standards are practiced Training & Development Develop training programs for supervisors and employees Coordinate safety and compliance training Support professional development opportunities Promote continuous learning across the organization HR Operations Manage onboarding and offboarding Maintain personnel files and HR documentation Develop and improve HR policies and procedures Monitor HR metrics and workforce trends Recommend process improvements that enhance efficiency and employee satisfaction Culture Leadership Champion the Oyster Harbors Marine Core Values Foster teamwork and collaboration across locations Support employee recognition initiatives Help build a workplace people are proud to be part of Requirements Required Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field 3+ years of progressive Human Resources experience Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proven ability to coach managers and influence organizational decisions Strong organizational and project management abilities High level of professionalism and confidentiality Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HR information systems Preferred SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification Multi-location HR experience Experience in marine, manufacturing, retail, automotive, hospitality, or service industries Experience supporting growth-oriented organizations
