About the Role Qatar Airways is pleased to announce an incredibly exciting opportunity to join our HR Team. This role will primarily responsible for timely QR Group payroll processing and conduct checks and put controls in place for an error free payroll by managing the activities of QR and Subs payroll within a centralized payroll department in carrying out responsibility for QR Group payroll preparation of over QAR. 400+ million per month. Responsible for HRMS / Oracle application to derive maximum benefit through evaluation and automation of core payroll activities and processes; followed by implementation and maintenance of payroll master files, policies and benefits of Human Resources in the core Oracle HRMS. Proactively evaluate, recommend and support integration of HRMS with other systems based on HR policies and procedures. Ensure all payroll processes are documented and up-to-date with any enhancements and improvements Key Responsibilities: Ensure all payroll processing activities are completed in accordance with published schedule, such that employees receive pay on time. Coordinate and maintains senior staff (grade 11 and above) payroll and employee data at high confidentiality. Resolve escalated/complex employee issues that require managerial intervention or involve other process areas. Conduct audit check at the time of payroll closing, including review and analysis of payroll records to ensure compliance with agreements/contracts Ensure complete data entry and document errors/omissions using audit log report while ensuring accuracy. Develop, implement, and ensure compliance with policies and procedures necessary to support operations; Analyse and evaluate complex technical payroll procedures, controls and information and documentation systems. Lead the continuous processes development of the HRMS Oracle Module as per the Organizational requirements. Effectively plan and oversee Oracle improvement/development projects to ensure successful fulfilment of end-use requirement, proper, accurate testing and sound implementation. Accountable to lead the monthly Oracle HRMS payroll functions ensuring accuracy and completeness for the final processing and disbursement by the Finance department. Examine operational policies and make informed recommendations for process improvement and regulatory compliance. Report on Service Level Agreement metrics in order to maximize effectiveness and efficiency of process area; Make recommendations for policy, plan and process modifications, implementing approved changes. Manage all Payroll reporting requirements; Utilize reporting tools to gain operational insight in order to identify and manage problems and propose resolutions. Based on work volume, develop work plans, develop work procedures, prepare work schedules and expedite workflow. Ensure all team members are adequately equipped for their roles, trained on processes and procedures, and adhering to process requirements. As part of the HR team, actively participate in the creation and setting the Payroll team’s strategic direction, objectives, priorities and atmosphere. Promote strong collaborative relationships between the HR Payroll team and the Admin, Benefits, Finance Payroll, IT and Business Support teams within the QR Group. Support audit or other reporting requirements including gathering and analyzing data, preparing for audit schedules and supporting other special requests Provides accurate and detailed information to employees/management as requested with respect to confidential and time sensitive matters; additionally, provides clear oral and written communication that reflects excellent customer service. Minimum qualification of bachelor’s degree or equivalent is essential. Minimum 7 years relevant experience Ability to manage set priorities, handle multiple responsibilities / work interruptions and meet deadlines. Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft office Proficiency with Oracle HRMS. Managerial skills - Ability to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow.
