Our client is seeking to hire a visionary and dynamic People & Culture / HR Manager to shape and drive our human resources and organizational culture strategy. This role is not about traditional HR administration; it requires a forward-thinking leader who can build a people-first, high-performing, and values-driven workplace where creativity thrives. As a key member of the leadership team, the People & Culture Manager will align talent management, culture building, and organizational development with our client's mission to push the boundaries of film, music, media, and creative technology. Responsibilites: Strategic Leadership Develop and execute a People & Culture strategy aligned with business objectives and creative production demands. Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on workforce planning, organizational change, and employee well-being. Champion diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging across all levels of the company. Talent & Performance Management Lead recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies tailored to both full-time staff and project-based hires. Implement robust performance management frameworks that balance creativity with accountability. Design and oversee career development, leadership pipelines, and succession planning programs. Employee Engagement & Culture Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and innovative workplace culture rooted in company's values. Develop initiatives to boost engagement, well-being, and productivity across permanent and freelance teams. Mediate conflicts and promote healthy workplace relationships. Policy, Compliance & HR Systems Ensure all HR policies and practices comply with Nigerian labour laws and global industry standards. Implement modern HR systems, tools, and data-driven processes to enhance decision-making. Manage compensation, benefits, and reward systems that are transparent, fair, and motivating. Production-Centric HR Knowledge Support the unique HR demands of creative production cycles, including crew onboarding, contract structuring, freelance compliance, and union/non-union dynamics where applicable. Build scalable frameworks for hiring, onboarding, and offboarding short-term contractors and freelancers. Collaboration with Legal & Finance Partner with Legal and Finance to develop contract templates, NDAs, and compensation frameworks. Ensure compliance with employment laws and industry best practices while safeguarding company interests. Employer Branding Shape and elevate company's reputation as an employer of choice in film, music, media, and creative tech. Design talent attraction strategies that appeal to both established professionals and rising creatives. Leadership & Team Development Build and mentor the People & Culture team to ensure excellence in delivery. Coach managers and project leads on people management, leadership, and conflict resolution. Oversee training and continuous learning programmes to prepare teams for future challenges. Technology Stack Oversight Identify and roll out best-fit digital tools for onboarding, learning & development, performance tracking, and people analytics. Ensure company's HR systems are agile, data-driven, and future-ready. Requirements CIHRM/HRCI/SHRM certified is added advantage 5+ years of progressive HR/People leadership experience, with at least 2 years in middle management role Experience in the creative industries (film, media, music, tech, or related sectors) is a strong advantage. Proven track record in culture-building, talent management, and HR innovation. Strong knowledge of Nigerian labour law, HR compliance, and global best practices. Demonstrated ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution. A dynamic, non-traditional perspective on people & culture, with the ability to innovate beyond conventional HR practices. High emotional intelligence, empathy, and excellent communication skills. Strategic vision with a bias for execution. Deep commitment to inclusion, collaboration, and people development.
