We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead and execute HR strategies in Japan, ensuring alignment with corporate goals while adhering to local regulations and cultural nuances. Move boldly in the quest for superior and best-in-market solutions. The Job Strategic HR Leadership Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives. Act as a strategic partner to business leaders, providing advice on organizational design, workforce planning, and succession planning. Drive initiatives to enhance employee engagement and organizational culture. Talent Acquisition and Management Oversee the recruitment and onboarding processes to attract and retain top talent. Develop talent pipelines through partnerships with local universities, recruitment agencies, and professional networks. Manage performance review processes and support managers in goal-setting and appraisals. Employee Relations Serve as a trusted advisor on employee relations, ensuring a positive and productive work environment. Handle conflict resolution, grievances, and disciplinary actions in compliance with Japanese labor laws. Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. HR Operations and Compliance Ensure compliance with local labor laws and company policies. Manage compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness and alignment with market trends. Oversee payroll processing and accuracy in coordination with finance teams. Learning and Development Identify training needs and develop learning programs to support employee growth. Implement leadership development initiatives for emerging leaders. Monitor the effectiveness of training programs through feedback and performance metrics. Change Management Lead HR projects, such as policy updates, system implementations, and cultural change initiatives. Support organizational changes, including restructures, mergers, or expansions. Qualifications Educational Background Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred). Experience 7+ years of HR experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial capacity. Experience in the Japanese market and familiarity with local labor laws and HR practices. Proven track record in talent acquisition, employee relations, and organizational development. Skills Proficient in Japanese and English, both written and spoken. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels. Analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven mindset. Proficiency in HR systems and tools, such as Workday, or similar platforms.
