Description:

HR Maintains and enhances the organization’s human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices. Communicates with employees, management, and administration.

  • Oversee recruiting and selection process of employees.
  • Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues.
  • Manages performance appraisal system and maintain employee pay compensation.
  • Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management.
  • Oversees worker compensation claims.
  • Generates bi-weekly Payroll- which includes garnishments and child support orders- verifying pay rate changes, transfers, etc.
  • Maintains benefits program (yearly reviews health benefits and 401k plans). Reconciles benefits deductions for health plans and 401K. Overseeing open enrollments for employees of Health Benefits each year. Plan Administrator for 401k.
  • Assess training needs to apply and monitor training.
  • Reviews safety program to ensure it is consistent with OSHA requirements.
  • Creates annual reporting processes.
  • Creates/maintains job descriptions.
  • Handles unemployment claims & disputes- verify all other unemployment requests.
  • Communication with government officials and law enforcement.
  • Maintains employee files and records in electronic and paper form- maintaining privacy and confidentiality for employees.
  • Ensures compliance with labor regulations and update postings as needed.
  • Any and all other HR responsibilities/ tasks not listed above.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field; certification preferred; or years of experience equivalent to degree.
  • People-oriented and self-motivated.
  • Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
  • Ability to operate office equipment (printers, scanners, fax machines, etc).
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail with analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
