Description
🌍 Who are we? In 2017, after more than ten years in the lift industry across Europe and Asia, Benoît Dupont noticed a system stuck in its ways where speed takes priority over quality and frontline teams remain invisible. With Jade Francine, he founded WeMaintain to put technology, trust, and people back at the heart of building maintenance. Their ambition: give technicians back their autonomy, rely on in-house IoT technology, and deliver a service designed for users and clients. Based in Paris, London, Singapore, and Hong Kong, we maintain lifts, escalators, automatic doors and fire safety systems. With 360+ employees, we combine on-the-ground expertise with data-driven management to deliver maintenance that is high-performing, transparent, and sustainable. We don’t just maintain buildings. We transform how they’re operated. 👥 Why join us? Originally built as a VC-backed tech scale-up, WeMaintain’s major shareholder is now OTIS — the world leader in elevators and escalators, and a publicly listed global group. This role offers the best of both worlds: - the agility, autonomy, and pace of a fast-growing entrepreneurial environment - The stability, scale, and long-term vision of a global industry leader You don’t have to choose between autonomy and stability. Large groups often offer stability, but little room to maneuver. Smaller organizations allow more freedom, but sometimes without clear direction. At WeMaintain, we strike the right balance: Real autonomy, with modern tech tools and strong support A culture built on trust, transparency and respect Genuine opportunities for growth and internal mobility A team that values commitment, perseverance and the drive to make things happen And our values guide us every day: Care: Working with respect and kindness, internally as well as with our customers Grit: Seeing things through, with high standards and determination Uniqueness: Daring to be yourself, sharing your ideas and challenging the status quo 👀 Who we’re looking for? We are looking for an HR Manager to join our team in Singapore. As the standalone HR person in Singapore, you will own the full employee lifecycle for our local team and act as the trusted partner for managers and employees alike. You will work closely with our Global HR team based in Paris, while having significant autonomy to shape local HR practices, ensure full compliance with Singapore labor regulations, and contribute to a strong, engaging workplace culture. This is a generalist role with a broad scope — ideal for someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats, is comfortable being the only HR person in the room, and wants to have a real impact on a growing team. You will also work closely with the MD based in Singapore, and our founders based in Hong Kong; 📌 Your day-to-day at WeMaintain HR Administration & Operations Own the full employee lifecycle in Singapore: contracts, onboarding, employee files, internal moves, offboarding, and exit interviews. Ensure full compliance with Singapore employment law, MOM regulations, and internal policies; keep HR policies and the employee handbook up to date. Manage work pass applications and renewals (EP, S Pass, Dependant Pass) and liaise with MOM and external advisors as needed. Maintain accurate employee data in the HRIS and produce regular HR reporting and headcount dashboards for local and global leadership. Act as the first point of contact for employees on HR-related questions (policies, leave, benefits, contracts). Payroll & Benefits Prepare monthly payroll: collect variable inputs, validate calculations, and ensure on-time, accurate payment. Manage CPF contributions, IR8A / IR21 filings, leave administration, and statutory reporting. Administer employee benefits (medical and group insurance, claims, and wellbeing programs) and review benefits offerings to keep them competitive in the Singapore market. Be the local point of contact for payroll, and benefits providers. Talent Acquisition Support Partner with hiring managers to draft job descriptions, post roles, and run end-to-end recruitment for non-executive positions (operations, technicians, support functions). Source and screen candidates, coordinate interviews, manage the ATS, and ensure a high-quality candidate experience throughout the process. Prepare offer letters and employment contracts, and run pre-boarding to ensure a smooth Day 1. Learning & Development, Culture & Engagement Run a structured onboarding program for new joiners and ensure every new hire has a positive, consistent first 90 days. Coordinate training plans and logistics (technical certifications, soft skills, compliance training) in line with local regulations and business needs. Drive engagement initiatives: team events, internal communications, recognition programs, and employee feedback surveys (eNPS, pulse checks). Champion WeMaintain's culture and values locally and contribute to DE&I and wellbeing initiatives. Support performance review cycles, career development conversations, and compensation reviews in partnership with managers and Global HR. 👑 What we're looking for You’re a great fit if you: 4 to 6 years of HR experience in Singapore, ideally as an HR Generalist or in a similar broad-scope role; experience in a scale-up, tech, or operations-driven environment is a strong plus. Strong, up-to-date knowledge of Singapore Employment Act, MOM regulations, CPF, and work pass processes. Hands-on experience running payroll. Proven experience in end-to-end recruitment, including sourcing, screening. Comfortable working autonomously as the only HR person on site, while collaborating with a global HR team across time zones. Excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Are rigorous, detail-oriented, and enjoy solving problems Communicate clearly, whether working independently or as part of a team 🌟 Bonus points if Experience in a multi-site or field-services environment (technicians, operations, blue-collar workforce). Familiarity with HRIS and ATS tools Exposure to APAC HR coordination beyond Singapore. Diploma or Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field; IHRP certification is a plus. 🔥 What success looks like By the end of your first 30 days You've met every member of the Singapore team, understood who does what, and built a working relationship with the HR team. You know our employee handbook, our HRIS, and our key benefits inside out. You've identified the top 3 HR pain points on the ground and shared a first read with your manager. By the end of your first 90 days You've fully taken over the local employee lifecycle — onboarding, offboarding, contracts, work passes, payroll inputs, benefits — and there are no balls being dropped. New joiners are giving you positive feedback on their onboarding experience. You've closed your first hires independently, from job posting to offer signed. Managers know they can come to you with people questions and get clear, fast answers. By the end of your first 6 months Singapore is 100% compliant with our internal policies, with no surprises. Payroll runs like clockwork every month. You've improved at least 2 HR processes (e.g., onboarding, leave management, recruitment workflow) and the team has felt the difference. You've launched or revamped at least one engagement initiative (events, recognition, pulse survey) and we have data to show it's working. By the end of your first 12 months You are the trusted HR partner for the Singapore office — employees and managers come to you naturally for advice. Our recruitment funnel is healthy, our time-to-hire is competitive, and our retention metrics are trending in the right direction. You've contributed meaningfully to APAC HR projects alongside the global team, and you've shaped the local HR roadmap for the year ahead. We can't imagine the Singapore office without you. 🎁 What we offer A meaningful, high-impact role as the HR anchor of our Singapore office. Direct exposure to Global HR leadership and the opportunity to shape local HR practices end-to-end. A friendly, international Ambitious team with a strong technical and operational culture, backed by the leader of the industry. Competitive salary, health insurance with group insurance, and ongoing learning opportunities. Modern office in Singapore and a flexible, trust-based work environment. ✏️ How to apply Every application is reviewed carefully.
