An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced HR Manager to lead a small, specialised HR function within a complex Victorian Government regulatory environment.

It is VPS 6, 6 months contract role.

You will oversee a diverse portfolio spanning employee relations, workplace health and safety, HR policy and processes, recruitment, workforce reporting, capability development and organisational improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a small HR team, providing direction, support and capability development.
• Oversee priority HR and OH&S initiatives, ensuring appropriate frameworks, policies, processes and governance are in place.
• Provide high-level and authoritative HR advice to executives, senior leaders and managers.
• Lead and support employee relations, workforce matters, recruitment and HR case management.
• Strengthen HR policies, procedures and reporting to support effective organisational decision-making.
• Partner closely with internal and broader Victorian Government stakeholders to deliver effective HR services.

About You

• Significant experience across a broad HR portfolio including employee relations, OH&S, HR policy, recruitment, capability development and case management.
• Experience in the Vic Government
• Demonstrated experience providing strategic and operational HR advice to executives and senior leaders.
• Strong knowledge of HR governance, policies, processes and contemporary HR practices.
• The ability to operate confidently within a complex, highly governed environment.
• A relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related discipline.
