Description

HR Manager

Valiram Group | Sydney CBD

Lead HR operations, strengthen people processes and support a growing portfolio of retail brands across Australia.

Valiram Group is seeking an experienced, hands-on HR Manager to lead our Australian HR function, supporting Victoria’s Secret, Bath & Body Works, Tory Burch and our luxury retail portfolio.

Based in our Sydney CBD support office, you will partner with business and retail leaders to deliver practical people solutions across a geographically dispersed workforce. You will lead the local HR team, build consistent processes and ensure our people practices support both employees and business growth.

This role suits someone who can move confidently between advising leaders, managing complex people matters and improving day-to-day HR operations.

About the role

You will take ownership of the employee lifecycle and help ensure that stores and support teams receive timely, reliable HR support.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • HR leadership: Lead, coach and develop the Australian HR team, establishing clear priorities, responsibilities and service standards.
  • Business partnering: Work closely with country, brand and field leaders on workforce planning, organisational change and people priorities.
  • Employee relations: Manage workplace investigations, grievances, performance matters and disciplinary processes with fairness and sound judgement.
  • Recruitment and onboarding: Oversee recruitment for stores and support office roles, including new store openings and peak seasonal hiring.
  • Employment compliance: Support compliance with Australian employment legislation, modern awards, contracts and company policies.
  • Payroll coordination: Partner with Payroll and operational leaders to resolve queries and ensure accurate, timely employee information.
  • Processes and systems: Improve HR workflows, documentation, employee records and reporting to support a growing business.
  • Leader capability: Coach managers in performance management, communication and effective people leadership.
  • Safety and wellbeing: Coordinate workers compensation and return-to-work matters with relevant stakeholders and external providers.
  • People reporting: Provide clear insights into recruitment, turnover, workforce risks and outstanding actions.
