A growing company in the transportation and logistics industry is seeking an experienced HR Manager to join its team. This is a full-time, on-site position with an excellent opportunity for an HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced operational environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 3 years of HR experience required; trucking/transportation/logistics industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of HR compliance and labor law.
  • General understanding of bookkeeping, general ledger, and accounting principles.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage sensitive information confidentially.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or equivalent experience preferred.

Responsibilities

The HR Manager will be responsible for a broad range of human resources functions, including but not limited to:

  • Recruitment: candidate screening, interviews, and employment contracts.
  • Employee onboarding and terminations maintaining compliance with state and federal labor laws.
  • PTO, sick leave, and holiday administration.
  • Weekly payroll processing with a third-party provider.
  • Benefits administration (health, dental, vision, life, 401(k)).
  • Employee support in HR-related matters such as compensation, benefits, and leave.
  • Compliance oversight with labor regulations and transportation industry standards.
  • Training program coordination and recordkeeping.
  • Timecard management and contractor payments.
  • Employee relations, including conflict resolution and performance management.
  • Special HR projects as assigned by leadership.
