TSG STAFFING SERVICES is currently recruiting for a HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER for an opportunity in the Edmonton Area in a manufacturing plant environment. This is a temporary, maternity leave position.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

· Responsible to initiating and managing the recruitment process
· Create job offers and negotiate contracts for new hires
· Facilitate appropriate pre-employment testing as required
· Conduct exit interviews and performance management conversations as required
· Maintain and administer training programs for new hires
· Handle employee requests for leave and other benefits
· Address employee concerns and issues and investigate complaints
· Ensure compliance with labour law standards
· Other admin tasks within HR as needed

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

· 10+ years of HR experience
· HR experience in heavy industrial or trade settings is an asset
· Knowledge of core tasks like recruitment, onboarding/offboarding, storing employee data and addressing complaints
· Proficiency in commonly used HR software
· Conflict resolution and negotiation skills
· Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Knowledge of Canadian labour laws and regulations
